My ultimate goal in the edit is to turn your footage into a film that "just works": coherent, moving, and neither too long nor too short. That’s why I don’t guarantee an exact duration. However, as a rule of thumb, a film made from 30 clips will run about 3 minutes, a film from 45 clips about 4 minutes, and a film from 60 clips about 5 minutes.

It's up to you!
• The vertical format is ideal if you plan to watch your video on your phone and share it on WhatsApp.
• The landscape format is best for watching with family on a TV screen. It also allows for richer compositions: you can frame more people at once and provide more information about their surroundings.
In any case, you can send me a mix of vertical and horizontal videos —I'll adapt to whatever footage you have!

Yes but they will slow down the flow of your film, so always favor videos over photos.
If you tend to take photos in "paparazzi" mode (several clics per second), feel free to send me those series. With at least 10 consecutive photos with a similar framing, I can turn them into a short animation!

▷ Make a note of the scenes you can't miss. For example:
For a baby memory film : pregnancy, birth, meeting siblings, first smiles, meals, first steps, tender moments with parents and grandparents...
For a vacation memory film: the preparations, the trip, the arrival, the place you're staying, the discoveries, the meals together, and of course the funny unexpected moments...
▷ Vary the pacing: A film needs breathing room. Be sure to include transitional footage (a passing landscape, a sleeping child) to balance out the high-energy scenes.
▷ Keep the length in mind: Avoid clips shorter than 5 seconds (which are difficult to edit) or longer than 2 minutes. If you send me a video longer than 2 minutes, please include in the file name the exact minute of the clip you’re interested in.
▷ Watch out for "Missing Mom Syndrome"! 76% of mothers say they are the family’s main photographer and almost never appear in family photos. Don’t forget to include your family photographer!
▷ Are you missing an image? Unless it’s that perfect shot on the Great Wall of China, it might not be too late to capture a shared moment, a big hug, or a sweet word, for example.

▷ The three steps are as follows:
Transfer your videos from your phone to your computer.
Rename your selected footage in chronological order (01, 02, 03, etc.) and add a date, age, or title if you’d like that information to appear in your film.
Send me your selection.
▷ How to transfer videos from your phone to your computer:
From an iPhone:
In the Photos app, create an album > add your selected videos > tap Share > select "Copy iCloud Link". Email this link to yourself.
(If you have a Mac, you can also use AirDrop.)
From an Android phone:
In your Gallery app, create an album > add your selected videos > tap Share . select "Create QR code or link". Email this link to yourself.
(If you have a Windows PC, you can also use the Quick Share app.)
Using a USB cable:
Connect your phone directly to your computer using a USB data cable (make sure it supports data transfer, not just charging!), then copy the DCIM folder (or your selected files) to your computer.
PLEASE NOTE:
Avoid sending your videos via WhatsApp, Messenger, or SMS/iMessage, as these apps heavily compress files and degrade video quality. If a family member must send you a video via WhatsApp, ask them to tap the HD button before sending to minimize quality loss.
If your phone videos automatically back up to Google Photos, verify in your settings that they are saved in "Original Quality" rather than "Storage Saver". Otherwise, choose an alternative transfer method.
▷ How to send me your final selection:
The methods above allow you to gather videos from different phones onto your computer, organize them, and rename your clips.
Once your selection is ready, place everything into a single folder and send it to me using:
• SwissTransfer.com (free up to 50 GB )
• WeTransfer.com (free up to 2 GB)
• Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive

Allow 20 business days for the video editing from the moment I've received all of your footage.
If your request is urgent, please contact me and I'll do my best to find a solution.
Don't forget to set aside some time to choose your images as this is a crucial step!
